Welcome Michael A. Savin, M.D., F.S.I.R.!

We are pleased to announce that Michael A. Savin, M.D., F.S.I.R. has joined PrecisionIR!

Dr. Savin joins us from Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine where he is an Associate Professor of Diagnostic Radiology and Molecular Imaging. He has been practicing interventional radiology since 1996 and has gained a great deal of experience with minimally invasive cancer treatment (including Y-90 radioembolization), vascular disease treatment (including angioplasty and stent placement), fibroid treatment (uterine artery embolization), and enlarged prostate treatment (prostate artery embolization).

His undergraduate education was at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) where he received his degree in mechanical engineering. He subsequently designed medical devices for interventional radiologists. He then decided to pursue a career in medicine and attended the University of Michigan Medical School, followed by an internship at the University of Wisconsin and radiology residency at the University of Washington. His calling was in interventional radiology, and to achieve this goal he received fellowship training at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.

Dr. Savin is board certified in Interventional Radiology, a fellow of the Society of Interventional Radiology, and the recipient of numerous awards and honors including being named a Top Doctor by U.S. News and World Report. He has authored or co-authored numerous clinical publications and is a nationally recognized speaker and lecturer.
